A great way to start the conversation is to first envision the home you’d like to be in and how that looks to both of you. For example, how will the new home look? Are you looking for a clean modern look or more traditional and personal treasures? Will there be rooms filled with a combination of your things or none? These are the types of questions you should discussing prior to making the big move.

One of the most difficult parts of merging two households is deciding which possession to keep when you and the person you’re moving in with both have the same thing.
